Ndeewo Obodo ACK,
We are reaching out to you to share some updates from the community.
Pease help us by completing a short survey to help us get feedback about our program
With a gaping hole of disbelief, join us in support of Bristy's memory, our ACK community member who died on Saturday Aug 29.
Save the date for a community event on Nov 2 in honor of our loved ones who have died.
BELOVED BRISTY
From our Director:
"Its hard to imagine that Bristy's time here on earth is done. Surreal to imagine that someone that I was just sharing bites of yam and egg sauce with, and saying, "I'll follow up with you to connect" is gone. Hard to imagine that our sweet child Ivan will have to carry the pain of the loss of someone who is his world. We want Bristy here with us, we want more summers with her, we want more smiles, more deep hugs, more bites of food, and more see you laters. But we are heartbroken to have this be disrupted. Onwu! onwu i di njo!! Death you are wicked!!! I spit on you!!"
As a community we are trying to show up as best we can
We are gathering funds on behalf of our ACK community, the collective purse will go to her father who is handling Bristy's homegoing.
We are communing in memorial of Bristy with the Meadows Livingston School community, if you want to gather in person. Friday Sep 11, 1-3pm at MLS, San Francisco
