Do you want to be spending time writing, but find it difficult to get the motivation because it’s just you? Writing can feel lonely and isolating. Afro Urban Society is offering the opportunity for writers of all types to get together while working on individual projects, whether it be a song, essay, film or stage script, novel, or social media content. Join Michael French and our AUS fam in the virtual space for a series of FREE Writing Sessions.

It’s fuss-free, silent, and consistent. Just sign up, log in, and handle your writing in a community of others getting theirs done too.

Come to one, or all.

  • Every Tuesday 1:30-3:30 PM PST

About Us

Afro Urban Society is an incubator and presenter of Afro-Urban performing and visual arts, culture, media, and social discourse. Since 2005, we’ve created more visibility and opportunities for creatives of African descent. We uplift emerging talent through productions, workshops, incubation fellowships, mentorship, resource mapping and cultural engagement. We envision a Black-led, self-determined, and vibrant arts and culture ecosystem. Our project, Sufferhead Academy is a series of creative and artistic industry workshops for the culture.
