Afro Culture Kids Lead Facilitator

Maymunah Muktari is a Hausa woman from Northern Nigeria. She has been a camp facilitator for Afro culture kids camp since the first camp in summer 2021. She teaches campers about how to understand, and speak Hausa through cultural games, songs, and conversations. She teaches campers about different Nigerian dishes and how to prepare them. Muktari is a sustainable environmental design student. She enjoys cooking, hiking, and being in nature. Her hobbies include art, solving puzzles, and as of recent, photography and gardening. She has worked as a child care provider since 2018 and has worked with amazing families all across the Bay Area.
