Commission for CREATIVES
'Mi Soon Come' Transportation x Urbanity x Socio-Political Context x Your Art
Bakanal de Afrique (BdA) is a multidisciplinary Afro Urban festival presented by Afro Urban Society that celebrates the odyssey of our people through art and culture. From its birth in 2009, Bakanal de Afrique intended to be a phenomenon that stretched the length and breadth of the world, and united Urban Africans in a unique way.
Our theme 'Mi Soon Come' explores the theme of transportation and how it intersects with culture, class and citizenship in Afro urban communities. We are looking to commission artists and creatives of diverse African descent to create high quality performance-based videos that speak to the theme and celebrate Black/African descended people for our November 2020 Festival (Online).
